My latest fairytale ACEO, Cinderella. I always pictured the story taking place in the rococo/baroque era, probably because the Cinderella storybook i owned and have been influenced by was illustrated by Edmund Dulac.
You can see the previous version, when i first began that fairytale project back at 2009 here -> [link] . And here [link] you can see the rest of the fairytales done so far.

Pencil,watercolours 6.4 cm x 8.9 cm.

It's hard to believe this is the size of an ATC with all that detail going on. I assume you used a pencil first to draw it out and then painted with the watercolors, but I am curious if you went back over it some with the pencil for emphasis or maybe if you used some watercolor for outlining in some spots. I like the look of it and I would like to try that technique. Sometimes my watercolors smears the pencil a bit. This is a wonderful piece...!

Thank you for your nice words on this and sorry for my late reply. It's just like you guessed, i draw with pencil first and then paint over it with watercolours. Most of the times the lineart stays intact but i go over some parts i want to emphasize, like the eyes, with pencil anyway.
